Crime Report on April 19, 2019

1. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 90/19 has been registered at PS Sadar, Shimla on 19.04.2019 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Inder Lal, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 18/19.04.2019 at about 01-50 AM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Ramesh Chand S/o Sh. Lachhi Ram Chandel R/o Village Kadrab, PO Cheog, Tehsil & PS Theog, District Shimla, age 41 years apprehended by them on the way to Ganj Bazar from Cart Road and recovered 24 Bottles of Country liquor marka Una No.-1 from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Inder Lal, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla. 
2. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 30/19 has been registered at PS Kumarsain on 19.04.2019 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of Insp. Phool Singh, SHO PS Kumarsain, Shimla alleging therein that on 18.04.2019 at about 10-00 PM, during patrolling/traffic checking on National Highway No.-5 at Bharada, a vehicle No. HP18A-1084 stopped by them for checking and during the search, 05 Boxes (60 Bottles) of Country liquor recovered from above vehicle under the possession of Vikrant S/o Sh. Ramesh Chand R/o Village Paikvadhar, PO Tevan, Tehsil Karsog, District Mandi. The case is being investigated by  Insp. Phool Singh, SHO PS Kumarsain.
3. STATEMENTS CONDUCING OT PUBLIC MISCHIEF:  Case FIR No. 44/19 has been registered at PS East Shimla on 19.04.2019 U/S 336, 350, 500, 505, 511 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Praveen Kumar Sharma S/o Sh. Murari Lal Sharma, State Media Incharge, Bhartiya Janta Party, Himachal Pradesh, Deep Kamal Bhawan, Chakkar, Shimla-5 has submitted a complaint and alleged that on 17.04.2019 at 09-00 AM, he was invited by News 18 TV Channel for debate. Sh. Vinay Sharma- Advocate, Dharamshala District Kangra, Ex. Dy. Advocate General, HP Govt. was also present there to represent the Congress Party. During debate, Sh. Vinay Sharma given a controversial statement and allurement of Rs. 20 lacs to public at large to physically harm to Sh. Satpal Singh Satti- State President of BJP/HP.  The case is being investigated by ASI Jaswant, I/O PS East, Shimla.   
4. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 45/19 has been registered at PS East Shimla on 19.04.2019 U/S 279 337 323 34 IPC & 187 MV Act on the statement of Sh. Prajjwal S/o Lt. Sh. Kunj Bihar R/ Village Dawarch, PO Shahdhar, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla A/P Sharda Niwas, near Harihar Mandir, Vikasnagar, Shimla alleging therein that on 18.04.2019 at about 09-45 PM, when he was crossing the road near Reliance office at Vikasnagar, at the same time one Alto K-10 car No. HP63C-…76 came rashly with negligent driving from Panthaghati side and hit him, caused sustained injuries on his left leg.  Three persons came out from above car and started to scuffle with him and pushed him down the road. After that they all run away from the spot. The case is being investigated by HC Rameshwar, I/O PAR Vikas Nagar, Shimla.
5. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 98/19 has been registered at PS West Shimla on 18.04.2019  U/S 279, 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Pradeep Verma S/o Sh. Krishan Lal Verma R/o Shankar Niwas,  near Police Post Vikasnagar, Shimla alleging therein that on 18.04.2019, his son Mohit alongwith his friends namely Gulshan, Shubham & Nikhil were coming back to Shimla from Shoghi in Maruti Car No. HP52B-3819, driven by Nikhil S/o Sh. Bhagat Ram R/o Sood Niwas, Police Colony Kasumpti Shimla. At about 07-30 PM, as they reached near Durga Mata Mandir near Taradevi, Nikhil negligently overtake a vehicle and hit with a Truck coming from opposite direction. In this accident, they all sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Tulsi Ram, I/O PS West.  
6. During last 24 hours 471 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, Compounded= 204, 22 persons challaned under Smoking Act and 02 Challaned under Mining Act & fine realized Rs. 44,500/-.
