A Gambling Act case FIR No. 47/16 has been registered at PS Kotkhai on 09.05.2016 U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act on the rukka of SI Shyam Tomar, SHO PS Kotkhai, Shimla stated therein that on 09.05.2016 at about 05.30 PM, when he alongwith staff was on patrolling at Devri-khaneti and apprehended six persons namely Satish Mehta, Rajesh, Surender Singh, Mandeep, Surender & Brij Lal during playing gambling with cards and recovered Rs. 64,750/- from the spot. The case is being investigated by ASI Kamal Dev, I/O PS Kotkhai.
During last 24 hours 600 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 378 & fine realized Rs. 88,720/- and 70 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs.= 7000/-.

Accused Prashant Chauhan (Driver) S/o Lt. Sh. Narayan Singh R/o Village Shila, PO Bakhol, Tehsil & PS Kotkhai, Shimla, age 23 years & Rupin Chauhan S/o Lt. Sh. Prakash Chauhan R/o Chauhan Niwas, Jivanu Colony, Parimahal, Kasumpti, Shimla, age 31 years have been arrested in Case FIR No. 108/16 Dt. 07.05.2016 U/S 22-61-85 ND&PS Act PS West., today sent to judicial remand by the Ld. Court.
