Crime Report on August 28, 2017

1.    A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 119/17 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 28.08.17 U/S 21,22-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Joginder Singh, I/O PS Dhalli, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 27/28.08.2017 at about 03-55 AM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Vineet Kainthla S/o Sh. Ram Chand Kainthla R/o Village Damod, PO Halanidhar Tehsil Kumarsain, Shimla, age 24 years A/P C/o Kulwant Building, NAC Road, Ambedkar Colony Dhalli Shimla intercepted by them  near Dawat Bhojnalya Dhalli and recovered 2.36 gram Chitta (Mephedrone) a product of Cocaine, from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Joginder Singh, I/O PS Dhalli.

2.    AN EXCISE: Case FIR No. 160/17 has been registered at PS Sadar on 27.08.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Mohinder Lal I/O PS Sadar, Shimla alleging therein that on 27.08.2017 at about 08-10 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff at Cart Road Shimla, one person namely Mukesh S/o Sh. Rajender Pal R/o Dhara nar Sweety Building Krishna Nagar, Shimla, age 29 years apprehended by them near Hotel Sun-N-Snow and recovered 18 Bottles of illicit country liquor marka Una No. 1 from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Mohinder Lal, I/O PS Sadar.

3.    AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No.  154/17 has been registered at PS West today on 28.08.17 U/S 279 IPC & 187 MV Act on the application of Sh Arshad Bhat S/o Sh. Shareef Bhat R/o Banta Building Dhalli Shimla alleging therein that he is working as driver in Pvt. Bus No. HP63A-0774, which was running in the route from  Sanjauli-Jatough. Today on 28.08.2017, he was going to Jutough from Old Bus stand. When he reached at Gopal Mandir Boileauganj, at the same time another private Bus “Komal” driven by Pradeep, came rashly  & negligently overtake his bus & after hit Bus run away from the spot. The case is being investigated by HC Ravinder Kumar, I/O PS West.

4.    A CRIMINAL BREACH OF TRUST: Case FIR No 147/17 has been registered at PS Rampur today on 28.08.2017 U/S 408,420 IPC on the application of Sh. Krishan Gopal stated therein that he and some other persons opened RD accounts  in  Post Office  at Rampur  through agent Indu Bala. After some time he came to know that above agent has not deposited installments in his account and cheated him. The case is being investigating by ASI Hoshiyar Singh, I/C PP City Rampur.

5.    A THEFT: Case FIR No. 120/17 has been registered at PS Dhalli today on 28.08.2017 U/S 380 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Daleep Sharma S/o Sh. Beg Ram Sharma R/o Fauji Niwas, Chhakrel Road, Kamla Nagar, Bhattakuffar, Sanjauli A/P running a Shop Dazzle Jeweler near Dhalli Tunnel Shimla alleging therein that on 26.08.2017 at about 07-00 PM, four unknown persons (one gents & 3 ladies) came to his shop and after purchased silver Bichhu (fcPNw) they went from from the shop. Thereafter when he checked the stock and found missing 3 gold pendants of mangalsutra. During analysis of CCTV footage, above lady was seen stealing away the above pendants. The case is being investigated by HC Satvinder, I/O PS Dhalli.

6.    A BURGLARY: Case FIR No. 106/17 has been registered at PS Shimla East today on 28.08.2017 U/S 457, 380 IPC on the complaint of Head Teacher, Govt. Primary School, Jhadech alleging therein that some unknown person has broken the door lock of School Kitchen and stolen away two cylinders, one regulator, two water filters & other kitchen articles in between 26 to 28.08.2017. The case is being investigated by SI Raghubir, I/C PP Kasumpti, Shimla.

7.    During last 24 hours 155 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 84 & fine realized Rs. 30,900/- and 18 persons challaned under Smoking Act and fine collected Rs. 2,100/-.

FOLLOW-UP

1.    Accused Gopal Chetri S/o Sh. Janak Chetri age 22 yrs R/o Village & PO Jumla, Tehsil & Distt Tattapani, Nepal arrested in case FIR No. 145/17 Dt. 17.08.2017 U/S 457, 380 IPC PS  Theog, is remanded in Police custody upto 29.08.2017, by the Ld. Court.

2.    Accused Vineet Kainthla S/o Sh. Ram Chand Kainthla R/o Village Damod, PO Halanidhar Tehsil Kumarsain, Shimla, age 24 years A/P C/o Kulwant Building, NAC Road, Ambedkar Colony Dhalli Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 119/17 Dt. 28.08.17 U/S 21,22-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Dhalli, is being produced before Ld. Court today.
