Crime Report on July 17, 2018

1.   A PUBLIC GAMBLING ACT: case FIR No. 132/18 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 17.06.2018 U/S 3,4,6 The Public Gambling Act on the rukka of SHO PS Dhalli, Shimla alleging therein that on 17.07.2018, he along with staff was on patrolling at Dhalli Chowk Shimla. During patrolling at about 09-40 PM, he received a secret information from Sh. Dinesh Sharma, Dy. SP (City) Shimla reg.  playing of gambling at private hotel near fair lawn at Mashobra Shimla, On this information, a raid was conducted under the supervision of  Dy. SP (City) & ADM (L&O) Shimla in the above hotel where 15 persons were playing gambling. The amount Rs. 8,32,135/-  has been seized from the spot. The case is being investigated by SHO PS Dhalli. 

2. AN ACCIDENT: case FIR No. 143/18 dated 17-07-2018 u/s 279,337,304A IPC has been registered at PS Sadar on the statement of a lady stated therein that today when she was going from Kamyana to Shimla in her vehicle, one A/F Alto car came towards Dudhli met with an accident due to rash and negligent driving of driver Yashpal and rolled down from the road. In this accident driver Yashpal S/o Chet Ram R/o Vill Dakhal PO Kuthar Tehsil Theog Distt Shimla age 24 years died on the spot and Dinesh @ Nishu s/o Sh. Sher Singh R/o Senal PO Balu Tehsil Kupvi Distt Shimla age 33 years sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by ASI Mangat Ram I/C PP Lakkar Bazaar, PS Sadar Shimla.

3.   During last 24 hours 360 vehicles were challaned under Motor Vehicle Act, Compounded= 153 fine realized Rs.  71,100/- and 32 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 3,350/-.
